[Brush] Summer Portfolio 2011 – 永康路,徐家汇区

Passerby, Alleyway, Yongkang Road, Shanghai China June 2011

The next 3 photographs are a mini series I took within the Yongkang Road and Taiyuan Road Intersection. Night Street Photography is a challenge at its best and a nightmare at its worse. I had to shoot at full wide aperture, contending with false colour tones caused by harsh flourescent lights and sodium outdoor lamps. Often because of  the wide aperture , I had to try and slow down as much as I could to get accurate focusing (or accurate enough..) and prevent camera shake due to slow shutter speeds.  However,  if well taken, the results are worth it, especially for this lady rushing by me in a split second..
