This morning, I am overwhelmed. Literally, as I see page after page of my email inbox reporting wordpress notifications.

Likes, comments, and subscriptions. I was speechless. I had no idea I am freshly pressed. While I had taken part in small exhibitions back when I was in Australia, and had the intention to do that again in Shanghai; I was unprepared for the torrent of support that, you, the online reader, had lavished on me.

In other words, the only thing I could really think from the bottom of my heart is:   Thank you.

This blog, from the point of writing this post, is just barely 2 months old. It was a tough road, where I had wondered if anybody but me is even glancing at every photograph I uploaded, every story I’ve written. Thankfully, some of you subscribed, showed support that kept the spirit in me alive to get my worn sneakers out on the streets everyday, putting my battered leica lenses to the test.

To all of your support , I had taken pride and joy of showing my humble life as a migrant in Shanghai, and carving each story to delight,pull the heart strings and weave the kaleidoscope of up and downs as a human being.

Now we have reached the cross roads, the cusp of change when finally my work starts to get recongnized by the silent many. I will still be that guy in tattered jeans and a t shirt, carrying that sony bag, sneezing away in the summer dusty heat despite that. Nothing has changed on my part, and because I know that’s the charm of it that brought you onto this blog. No frills,no faux pax , no superficial artificial sweetener.

Stories, and photographs that is, and just is.

Things will just get better, and will continue to get better thanks to the tidal waves of inspiration from your support. Just wait and see..
